Two taps: what is your status → what do you need, and you get a document checklist. Tick items off, print it, or export it to take to the branch.

What actually trips people up at the counter is usually two things: which branch to pick and what to do if refused. These "enhancements" are built from real samples we're still collecting — they may become a product only once the sample is solid, and the free tier stays free forever. Help us build the sample: report how it went, so the next person avoids a wrong turn.
Tourist mode (no Chinese bank card): Alipay / WeChat accept international cards (Visa / Mastercard). Works on arrival, but has limits and a fee — roughly 3% on payments above about ¥200, plus an annual cap. Fine for short trips and small amounts.
Local mode (needs a UnionPay debit card): open a mainland bank account first (passport + valid visa/residence permit + real-name Chinese phone number), then bind that card. Binding removes the tourist cap and the ~3% fee, and unlocks the full feature set.
Hong Kong: AlipayHK and WeChat Pay HK are separate wallets, usable by HK residents; for mainland spending you can use cross-border QR or bind a mainland account. Most HK banks open accounts for non-residents — see the guides.
Singapore: Alipay (SG), GrabPay, YouTrip and similar work; DBS / POSB / OCBC / UOB apps also let you add cards. A pure tourist visa usually cannot open a local bank account — you need a valid pass (EP / S Pass / Student Pass / LTVP).
